User profile problems

VoiceComputer/Dragon suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago on one of my computers.

I got this msg:
SDAPI Error 1: Error: [s:mrec1812965srcfileutilrealdf.cpp 3048 fileutilrealdf 1] SDApi_GetFileSupportType: C:ProgramDataNuanceNaturallySpeaking11Userslrf050313currentGeneral_general.voc

Today i tried to create a new user profile, went through all of the steps in training, and then got an error msg that the setup could not be completed.

What should I try now?



There are two possibilities:

  1. Your original user profile is corrupted.

  2. You need to Repair Dragon.

However, given the fact that you couldn’t create a new user profile, my suspicion is that there is something wrong with your Dragon program files.

My recommendation is to go to the Windows Control Panel | Programs and Features | Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 and run a Repair.

After running a Repair, see if Dragon will allow you to create a user profile.
