Strange error warnings in my Dragon log

I’ve been trying to track down correlations for the occasional hangs with DNS using IE, MSWord and MSExcel.

I did a restart before this exercise and made sure that I didn’t open up Voice Computer. Looking at my Task Manager I see no VP.exe running on my machine

my Dragon log is full of hundreds of warnings regarding Voice Computer but as far as I can tell from Task Manager Voice Computer isn’t running. See excerpt below.

There are no obvious problems with DPI but I find this behavior very peculiar

Any ideas?

Phil,

Sorry for delaying getting back to you.

These warnings are just that "warnings". They have no impact on the performance of either Dragon or VoiceComputer.

On the one hand they can be caused by invalid commands, and on the other hand they can be caused by leftovers in the speech buffer after VoiceComputer is closed, or if it's not open for which Dragon can't find and acoustic representation.

I've seen this occur on a couple of occasions, but it's usually because we only use Dragon for VoiceComputer command recognition. Essentially, you can ignore these because they have no impact on either Dragon or VoiceComputer as noted above.

Chuck, thanks for the reply. You are right, I could detect no impact whatsoever on performance.
