positioning Windows programs

I am reacquainting myself with the various voice computer commands.

I have opened the place Windows command exercise. I can place the window left, right or center. However when I give the command “place window upper left (or right)” or "place window lower left (or right)"it is not recognized.

Any thoughts?

Thanks so much,

Jim

Those commands are no longer active commands. They have been archived.

Did you see these commands in a command list?

If you’re familiar with XML files, you can copy these commands from our archive in

C:Program Files (x86)VoiceTeachVoiceComputerhelpVC_FilesCustom_files

thanks for getting back to me, Ron,

The commands was still in the main menu. My version is 2.18.

I really do like those commands. However, I’m not much of an XML guy. Is it cut-and-paste?

Much appreciated,

Jim

Yes, but if you cut and paste a little too much or tool little, you'll get syntax errors and VC won't start.

And then, you need to back up your commands so that you can continue to use them when we release new versions.

The commands you want are in the positioncmds.xml, they're just commented out.

Best to get tech support. You can contact Chuck or I by email.

Thanks, Ron.

Will do.
